Aligarh Muslim University AMU will conduct the entrance Test AMU BTech 2015 to take admission in B.Tech. courses of the University. Those students who wants to take admission in AMU for four year (8 Semeters) B.Tech. course can now apply to appear in the University entrance test. Today AMU releases the Notification and Application form for AMU BTech 2015. Admission prospectus is now available on the official website of AMU, which can be downloaded by the candidate.

AMU Aligarh gives some of very talented personalities to this nation. This year 2014-15 AMU ranks 3rd best University in India for its quality education. Lt. General Zameerud-din Shah is now the Vice Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University. AMU Campus is situated at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was founded by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as Mohammaden Anglo-Oriental college in 1875 and later in 1920 it become Aligarh Muslim University as a Central University.

Since AMU is a central university so it conduct National Level Entrance examination in which candidates from all the parts of India can apply for the test. There is no regional restrictions.

Eligibility Criteria for AMU B.Tech


► Candidate must be atleast 17 years old on 31st December in the year of admission.

► Candidate seeking for admission in AMU B.Tech should have passed qualifying Examination as Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or +2 Board Exam or an equivalent examination recognised by the Aligarh Muslim University.

► Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as subject in qualifying Examination.

► Candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Branch allocation will be done on the basis of counselling.

AMU MBBS BDS Exam Pattern

The Entrance exam for AMU BTech is of four subjects namely are:
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics

All question of the paper will be objective type question with negative marking of 0.25%.

AMU B.Tech Reservation and Seat Distribution

Aligarh Muslim University is a central university which has its own Reservation criteria independently and also consider the Standard Criteria set by Medical Council of India.

AMU has 50% reserved for Muslim candidates.Also having 20% reserved seats for Internal Students i.e. Students from AMU. And on rest of seats Standard Reservation Policy directed by Government Of India applied.

  1. Do questions of previous year repeat in Amu btech.? Will it beneficial to go through previous year question papers.?

    Very questions questions are repeated but their data values are changed. You never found any as it is repeated question. But I personally suggest you to go through the previous year paper because the pattern of paper is always same so it is very helpful.
