Aligarh Muslim University AMU will conduct the entrance Test AMU MBBS BDS 2015 to take admission in MBBS BDS courses of the University. Those students who wants to take admission in AMU for four and half year MBBS and BDS courses can now apply to appear in the University entrance test. Today AMU releases the Notification and Application form for AMU MBBS BDS 2015. Admission prospectus is now available on the official website of AMU, which can be downloaded by the candidate.

It was founded by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as Mohammaden Anglo-Oriental college in 1875 and later in 1920 it become Aligarh Muslim University as a Central University.

Since AMU is a central university so it conduct National Level Entrance examination in which candidates from all the parts of India can apply for the test. There is no regional restrictions.

Eligibility Criteria for AMU MBBS


► Candidate must be atleast 17 years old on 31st December in the year of admission.

► Candidate seeking for admission in AMU MBBA BDS should have passed qualifying Examination as Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or +2 Board Exam or an equivalent examination recognised by the Aligarh Muslim University.

► Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subject in qualifying Examination.

► Candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

► Candidate should secure atleast 50% marks in the test to become eligible to appear for counselling.

AMU MBBS BDS Exam Pattern

The Entrance exam for AMU MBBS BDS is of four subjects namely are:
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Zoology
  • Botany

All question of the paper will be objective type question with negative marking of 0.25%.

AMU MBBS BDS Reservation and Seat Distribution

Aligarh Muslim University is a central university which has its own Reservation criteria independently and also consider the Standard Criteria set by Medical Council of India.

AMU has 50% reserved for Muslim candidates.Also having 20% reserved seats for Internal Students i.e. Students from AMU. And on rest of seats Standard Reservation Policy directed by Government Of India applied.

  1. Sir, at many places its given that 50% reservation for internal candidates and not muslim candidates. Here its given 20%. Please verify and tell?

    1. Hie,
      There is no officially published article support this reservation. But in 2005, there a protest was done by the university students for reservation of seats in AMU. Please read this article published by "The Times of India" in which it is clearly mention. After that there is no changes takes place till now in reservation of AMU.
