Guidelines for Question Paper Pattern : UPTU has now changed the Semester exam Question Paper Pattern of all the courses running by the University. Students now find some changes in question paper from now onward. New and latest Question paper pattern is applicable for all courses of all year. UPTU has taken this step in order to standardize the Semester examinations conducted by the University. The new Question paper pattern will be helpful in order to analyze the think and understanding skills more accurately. The new question paper pattern will be followed in both NOIDA region and LUCKNOW region. UPTU also announces the concept of Question Bank as per new pattern, which will available to students one month before the semester examination for preparation.


Following are the guideline for the preparation of Question paper with new pattern:

1. New Question paper will be divided into THREE SECTIONS as A, B and C containing short answer type, medium answer type and long answer type question respectively.

2. Section A contains TEN questions without any choice. Section B contains EIGHT questions out of which FIVE question should be answered. Section C contains THREE questions out which TWO questions must be answered.

3. Section A is having 2 marks each question, Section B is having 10 marks for each questions and Section C is having 15 marks for each questions.

4. Questions may be divided as per complexity level. These should be Memory based, Application based and Evaluation/reflection based.

5. Long Questions may contains internal sub-question and choices.

  1. Is it a joke, it is really unfair to change the pattern of paper this year, accidently, may be. Even how come this exam can have long answer type qusetion.
